music academy | ossiach austria | 2004 competition honorable mention

the new multifunctional hall, seating 500 visitors, is designed as a freestanding building in order to incorporate a connection to the existing building, a former monastery that accommodates the rehearsal rooms. embedded in the landscape a new courtyard is created between the new and the old building linking the surrounding landscape with the hall.
